Paul Mullins Is there additive that you can add to contract that cracks to make it reseal....an associate was just mentioning he thought there was one...but I have never heard of it.

Jill Kelsey Hi Paul, there is not additive (or material) that can be added to concrete that will reseal cracks. There is research looking into this but no commercial product available that can do this. Some crystalline waterproofing products have claimed to transform porous concrete into an impermeable barrier and also self-seal cracks. These claims are not supported by facts or data. The solution to this age old problem is not to seal the cracks but prevent them from occuring in the first place.
